Last year we talked to Christie Widiarto who was working on ‘Identity: Yours, Mine, Ours’ with the Immigration Museum of Victoria aimed to find out what people think of their identities in Australia.

One of the speakers at the launch was Abe Nouk. When Abe came to Australia as a refugee, he was illiterate.

Nowadays he’s an award-winning poet and mentors young people with Creative Rebellion Youth.

He talked to us about being finally able to tell his story and his own identity living in Australia.
